LEYECO V Joins Earth Hour 2026 Environmental Activities in Ormoc

Earlier today, LEYECO V joined the Earth Hour 2026 celebration in partnership with the LGU Ormoc, through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO), along with various participating organizations, for a meaningful 5-kilometer plogging and mangrove tree planting activity.

Participants gathered at Ormoc City Hall and collectively made their way to Naungan Eco-Park, demonstrating unity and shared responsibility for environmental protection. Along the route, volunteers actively picked up litter, embodying the spirit of “plogging” a combination of jogging and picking up trash while promoting cleanliness and environmental awareness within the community.

The activity continued with a mangrove tree planting initiative, reinforcing the importance of coastal protection and biodiversity conservation.

This collaborative effort highlights LEYECO V’s continued commitment to sustainability and active community engagement. By taking part in initiatives like Earth Hour, the cooperative supports global efforts to address environmental challenges while fostering local action toward a cleaner, greener future.
