Leyte V Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LEYECO V) reinforced its commitment to transparency, quality service, and meaningful community engagement through the successful conduct of its District IV Meeting at the Palompon Civic Center. The event drew an impressive 722 registered Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) from the municipalities of Palompon and Villaba, reflecting strong participation and continued trust in the cooperative.

The district meeting served as a vital platform for open dialogue, enabling LEYECO V to connect directly with its member-consumers while providing comprehensive updates on its programs, services, and overall operational performance. A highlight of the gathering was the presentation of the cooperative’s 2025 accomplishments through an audio-visual report, which showcased key milestones and strategic initiatives geared toward improving the reliability, efficiency, and quality of electric service across its coverage areas.

General Manager Atty. Jannie Ann J. Dayandayan, CPA, expressed her sincere gratitude for the unwavering support of the MCOs. She proudly announced that LEYECO V achieved an outstanding 108% collection efficiency and sustained a low system loss of 7.23%—clear indicators of effective management and strong cooperation from its member-consumers. She also shared updates on priority programs, including the Sitio Electrification Program, the expansion of lifeline discounts for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries and for Marginalized end user, the provision of Photovoltaic Mainstreaming–Solar Home Systems (PVM-SHS) for remote communities, and the continued implementation of Oplan Taud Kuryente Phase 3.

Local government representatives also conveyed their support for the cooperative’s initiatives. Palompon Mayor Mary Dominique Oñate, represented by Municipal Administrator Christopher Montibon, underscored the importance of the district meeting as a venue for addressing electricity-related concerns and strengthening cooperation between stakeholders. Likewise, Villaba Mayor Carlos Veloso, through Executive Secretary Eric Noynay, emphasized the value of collaboration in delivering improved and responsive services to the public.

District IV Board Director Claire Diaz reaffirmed her commitment to representing the interests of MCOs in Palompon and Villaba. She encouraged members to remain actively engaged in cooperative programs and activities, while also advocating for the responsible and respectful use of social media platforms as a channel for constructive communication and community support.

An open forum capped the activity, where MCOs were given the opportunity to raise concerns and seek clarifications, particularly on electrification and service-related issues. General Manager Dayandayan, together with the Department Managers, responded promptly and thoroughly, ensuring that all concerns were properly acknowledged and addressed.
