Today, the management team of LEYECO V conducted a courtesy visit to Engr. Jed C. Granados to discuss key programs and upcoming activities of the cooperative in 2026.

Among the matters discussed were the upcoming Annual General Membership Meeting (AGMM) scheduled on July 11, 2026, and the District VI Election set on May 30, 2026 and the filling of certificates of candidacy for the District VI Board Director position will be on May 20, 2026.

The team highlighted the status of the Sitio Electrification Program and presented updates on the sitios included in the cooperative’s 2026 electrification plan and likewise requested for the updated data on unelectrified sitios within the municipality to prioritize areas that still need to be energized.

Atty. Jannie Ann J. Dayandayan provided updates on LEYECO V’s consumer assistance programs, including Oplan Taud Kuryente Phase 3, which offers a staggered payment scheme for house wiring kits, Lifeline Rate Subsidy Program, which grants a 100% discount on electricity consumption from 0 to 50 kilowatt-hours for qualified beneficiaries, particularly 4Ps recipients and marginalized consumers. In addition, the Photovoltaic Mainstreaming Solar Home Systems (PVM-SHS) Program continues to provide renewable energy solutions to households located in remote areas beyond the reach of existing distribution lines.

Mayor Granados expressed his full support for LEYECO V’s programs and initiatives and took the opportunity to raise concerns and suggestions from his constituents regarding electric service in the municipality.

The courtesy visit strengthened the partnership between LEYECO V and the local government of Leyte, Leyte in advancing rural electrification and delivering responsive service to member-consumer-owners
